Do I need an appointment?

Appointments are recommended, but we also welcome same-day urgent-care visits whenever availability allows. Please call us at 469-991-5171 so our team can prepare for your pet’s arrival.

What animals do you treat?

Petvise Animal Hospital provides veterinary care for dogs and cats.

What are your examination fees?

Our standard examination fee is $65. New clients receive 50% off their first wellness examination—one discounted examination per household. Additional services, diagnostics, and medications are priced separately.

What should I bring to my pet’s first visit?

Please bring:

• Previous medical and vaccination records

• A list of current medications and supplements

• Any recent laboratory or imaging results

• A fresh stool sample, if requested

• Your pet in a secure carrier or on a leash

What preventive services do you offer?

We provide comprehensive preventive care, including wellness examinations, vaccinations, parasite screening, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick control, fecal testing, microchipping, and age-appropriate laboratory testing.

Do you provide urgent or emergency care?

We evaluate many same-day urgent conditions during business hours, including vomiting, diarrhea, injuries, allergic reactions, pain, breathing concerns, and difficulty urinating. Life-threatening cases may require referral to a 24-hour emergency or specialty hospital after stabilization.

If your pet is experiencing severe breathing difficulty, collapse, uncontrolled bleeding, seizures, suspected poisoning, or inability to urinate, please seek veterinary attention immediately.

Do you offer dental care?

Yes. Our dental services include oral examinations, full-mouth dental X-rays, ultrasonic scaling, polishing, and surgical extractions when necessary. Every dental treatment plan is based on your pet’s individual oral health and diagnostic findings.

Do you perform surgery?

Yes. We perform many soft-tissue procedures, including spays, neuters, mass removals, cystotomies, wound repairs, and selected abdominal and eye procedures. A preoperative examination and bloodwork may be required before anesthesia.

What diagnostic services are available?

We offer in-house laboratory testing, digital X-rays, ultrasound, urinalysis, fecal testing, cytology, and other diagnostic services. Some specialized tests are submitted to an outside reference laboratory.

Do you offer laser therapy?

Yes. Therapeutic laser treatments may help reduce pain and inflammation and promote healing. They can be beneficial for arthritis, injuries, surgical recovery, wounds, and certain chronic conditions.

When should my puppy or kitten first visit the veterinarian?

Most puppies and kittens should have their first veterinary visit at approximately 6–8 weeks of age. They generally require a series of examinations, vaccines, and parasite treatments every few weeks until their initial preventive-care series is complete.

Can you refill my pet’s medication?

Prescription refills require an active veterinarian-client-patient relationship and a current examination. Certain medications also require periodic bloodwork or monitoring. Please request refills before your pet’s medication runs out.
